WEEK 5 - Independent Study // Architectural concepts in relation to two architects + Axonometric sketches

Chosen architects: Bernard Tschumi and Yakov Chernikhov

Bernard Tschumi

Architecture must participate in culture's polemics and question its foundations.

There is no architecture without events, without actions or activity.

Architecture is not defined by its "formal" container, but rather by its combination of spaces, movements, and events.

Architecture should be based upon concepts and not a defined form. It is through concept that the architecture will emerge.

The configuration of space leads to balance.
